Victor Sami is the John and Melinda Thompson Executive Director of AI in Medicine for Kids (AIM) at SickKids. He joined SickKids after a 20-year career in technology where he held various hands-on and leadership roles.

At General Electric (GE) Healthcare, he spent a decade in Cardiovascular IT, serving hospitals across North America where he led teams responsible for remote technical/application support, HL7 integration, migrations, and custom reporting. He then joined GE Capital (Synchrony) in a VP capacity as it was divesting from GE. At Synchrony, a Fortune 500 financial firm, he delivered on a new enterprise collaboration strategy along with the required leading-edge technology. Subsequently at Synchrony, he established an automation center of excellence where Victor and his teams blazed new trails and helped realize tremendous benefit from emerging technology.

Today, Victor is leading the effort to efficiently and responsibly deploy AI across SickKids in support of AIM’s mission and SickKids’ 2025 goals.
